Insulating Glass Molecular Sieve (Type 3A) is a synthetic crystalline aluminosilicate spherical adsorbent with a regular cubic crystal lattice and uniform microporous structure, with a pore size of approximately 3 Å. It is specially designed for moisture adsorption in insulating glass units (IGUs), effectively removing moisture from the sealed glass cavity to help prevent condensation and maintain a dry internal environment.
With a high specific surface area of 600–800 m²/g, it exhibits extremely strong affinity toward water molecules while effectively excluding larger molecules such as nitrogen and oxygen. This makes it one of the core drying materials for manufacturing premium insulating glass units.
