Appearance:
Colorless transparent or milky translucent sticky liquid. It is odorless, tasteless and nontoxic.
Product Description:
Silica Sol, also known as Colloidal Silica, is a stable colloidal dispersion of nanoscale silica particles in water. It appears as a colorless to slightly opalescent liquid with excellent dispersion, bonding and penetration properties.
Thanks to its high surface area, outstanding thermal stability and chemical stability, silica sol is widely used as a binder, coating material and functional additive in precision casting, refractory materials, catalyst supports, polishing compounds, paper making and textile processing.
Key Features:
Excellent Dispersion & Penetration:Ultrafine particles and low viscosity enable strong penetration and uniform dispersion, minimizing sedimentation.
Environmentally Friendly:Water-based and solvent-free, with no harmful emissions. Safe to use and easy to handle in compliance with environmental regulations.
Chemical & Thermal Stability:Inert and non-combustible, with stable performance under high temperatures and acidic or alkaline conditions.
High Adsorption Capacity:Effectively adsorbs moisture and organic substances.
High Surface Area:Porous structure provides a large surface area, enhancing adsorption efficiency.
Tunable Properties:Pore structure and adsorption performance can be adjusted to meet specific application needs.
Applications:
Investment Casting
Refractory Materials
Ceramic Binders
Catalyst & Catalyst Carrier
Precision Polishing (CMP)
Paper & Paper Coating
Textile Processing
Functional Coatings
Packaging:
Packaging Supplied in polyethylene (PE) drums with excellent chemical and corrosion resistance, available in 25 kg and 250 kg packaging.
Usage Guidelines:
Keep dry and prevent contamination from acids or alkalis during storage and handling.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse immediately with clean water.
Use promptly after opening or keep tightly sealed to prevent contamination and moisture loss.
Store at 0–40°C (recommended 5–30°C). Avoid direct sunlight and freezing. Freezing may cause irreversible gelation.
Shelf life: 12 months (alkaline type) and 6 months (acidic type) in unopened original packaging.
